This full-figure portrait has just received its first glaze of colour. Broad, rough colour shapes are applied over the earlier monochromatic underpainting (shown at right).Traditional oil glaze painting results in complex and delicate images usually seen only in Renaissance painting -- it is a painstaking process. Completion of this painting is expected in August of 2006.
