A big thank you to Zwicker’s Gallery and the organizers of Nocturne in Halifax for the wonderful opportunity they provided me to share my paintings and music. It was great to see old and new friends and especially flattering to meet with folks who have been following my efforts for some time.

I’d especially like to thank Zwicker’s Director and staff; without a doubt the most friendly, supportive, and professional gallery specialists with whom I have had the pleasure to work.

I was honored recently to be invited by Gallery Director Ian Muncaster and Gallery Liason Rebecca Winn of Zwicker’s Gallery, Halifax, Nova Scotia to be their featured artist for Nocturne 2009.

Nocturne: Art at Night is a festival bringing art and energy to the streets of Halifax between 6:00 p.m. and midnight on Saturday, October 17th. The completely free, second annual event showcases and celebrates the exciting arts scene in Halifax. The Nocturne program, map, bus, and walking tours guide residents and visitors alike to a variety of exhibitions in galleries and public spaces throughout the city. The signature event, designed and planned by volunteers within the community, is an opportunity for everyone to experience the art of Halifax – in a whole new light.

I’ll be at Zwicker’s Gallery playing “Art-Swing” music with the Radio StarDust Jazz Orchestra and answering questions about my work with anyone that cares to ask from 7:00 to midnight.  Please stop by to tap your foot, snap your fingers, and say hello!
