We’re proud to be booked into Nova Scotia’s premiere jazz club. For more information, visit www.staynerswharf.com. We hope you’ll stop by and help us get Halifax off to a swingin’ start for 2010!
A big thanks to the staff of Zwicker’s Gallery in Halifax and the organizers of Nocturne for giving us a chance to introduce RSDJO to Haligonian art and jazz fans. The evening was a great success and we we’re very flattered by our audience’s enthusiastic response. We’re working to confirm more appearances in Halifax soon, so check back to see our schedule, or drop us a line to suggest a place or event you’d like to hear us play.
Once again, thanks for all your support!

Zwickers Gallery in Halifax, Nova Scotia is presenting RSDJO from 6pm to midnight on Saturday, October 17th as part of the city’s annual Nocturne celebration.
We’ll be posting more info about this city-wide event as it becomes available.
John Malmström is honored to be Zwicker’s featured artist this year and in addition to performing cool swing tunes and jazz standards, he’ll be informally discussing his visual work. Drop by and hear the band, meet the great folks at Zwickers and have a peek at John’s paintings.
We’ll all be taking the stage on Saturday evening, September 19th, just not as RSDJO! The event is the 2009 Sister Fair, held this year in Cornwallis NS. A festival celebrating women’s expression through music and the arts, Sister Fair creates educational opportunities for Nova Scotian women as a fundraiser for the Francis Mills-Clements Bursary Fund.

RSDJO members to perform separately at Sister Fair in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia
Susan will be drumming for Shoestring Swing Limited, Wanda will perform her spoken poetry (with cool beat-era jazz backing), John will be backing up Songstress Hope Gillis as well as Wanda.
Last years’ event was a remarkable evening of stellar performances. With RSDJO members represented in 3 of the 7 groups, we’ll try to deliver again this year.
